Propylthiouracil
Propylthiouracil curbs iodization of tyrosine inside the thyroid and condensation of iodotyrosine by curbing the peroxidase system inside the thyroid, so as to curb the synthesis of thyroid hormones. Large dosage of Propylthiouracil (daily dosage >700 mg) will reduce conversion from T4 to T3 in surrounding tissues. This product also plays the immunosuppression role.
